I’ve just bought a one-year Flickr Pro photosharing service.
My account is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jiruan/.
I usually use free Google Picasaweb service to share photos with my friends. Then I realized that this service would always resize photos automatically and the quality is somehow not up to my expectations. I knew Flicker before, and in fact I have a flickr account already but I did not chose to pay for the pro version. It was because Flickr was purchased by Yahoo, and I did not like Yahoo very much. Some years ago, my very first Yahoo mail account was deleted by Yahoo after not logging into it for a few months. I think that account could be dated back to 1999 or 2000, so it held a lot of precious emails.
Anyway, I think things should move on. Yahoo is in bad shape now and I belive that Flickr will survive given that it is able to create such a lively photosharing community. For the quality of photos and the possibility of more interactions with other photo-loving people, I decided to purchase this pro account. Let me try to update it more reguarly. And of course, every update will be reflected on this blog as well.
